Diana Ciufo, PhD, is an architect and researcher working at the intersection of architectural design, urban studies, and performance space. Her doctoral research, Theatre as Urban Catalyst: Common Space and Regeneration, examines theatre as civic infrastructure within processes of urban transformation. She is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Planning, Design, and Technology of Architecture (PDTA) at Sapienza Roma, contributing to MedEA- Mediterranean Ecological Adaptation, a research project focused on climate adaptation strategies in the Mediterranean basin. Alongside her academic work, she develops exhibition and set design projects for cultural institutions, including Teatro Biondo (Palermo), Les Halles de Schaerbeek (Bruxelles), CSS (Udine), TPE (Torino), Romaeuropa Festival (Roma). In collaboration with OpenLab Company, she has also designed cultural spaces, including the New Municipal Theatre of Ruvo di Puglia (Bari).
