IL TEMPO ATTORNO –

A mountain. Gray, concrete, immovable invades a house, leaving apart just the domestic office. The space presents itself as a fractured domestic interior: a lava flow has swallowed half a sofa, left a refrigerator half-buried, scattered filing cabinets heavy with documents across the floor. This is not surrealism. This is realism cracked open. The private and the political have stopped being separate things. The mountain looms as both sanctuary and threat. Behind these walls, a family clings to itself while everything tries to pull them apart—the cases, the interrogations, the men outside watching. The scenography does not illustrate this conflict. It is the conflict. Every object, every surface, every angle reminds you: this is a bunker. This is a home being crushed from the outside. A family did not choose to live under a mountain of history.
